Forward - From the Heartland of Carolina

This is a continuing story of the journey Forward shared by 2 people, Lynne and Tom. Both love to LIVE life to it's fullest, which currently means spending lots of time outdoors, working on various projects from gardens to patios, flowers to vegetables, sunrises and sunsets, birds and woodland critters, and spending time with family. Don't forget to check the monthly archives, and please feel free to leave us a comment so we know you stopped by.

Down by the Well

I was out in the back yard when there was a ripping, tearing, cracking sound. This pine, 57 feet tall, weekened by some sort of blight years ago, succumbed to the weak spot and fell the opposite way from where I was standing, narrowly missing the well cover. We now have another pallet of firewood for the winter, and a little more daylight down in 'The Lane".

Glad you are all okay! We have trees like that on our place and have had them fall - thankfully they have missed my critters and my house!

I love your blog - I especially love your kitty pics! And your yard is absolutely gorgeous!

Much happiness, you two!
